Man, being a spiritual being, all is settled spiritually before manifesting physically. Enforced inactivity such as the Coronavirus has thrust on us is a great opportunity to be at one’s human best.
In this sit-at-home period, what can you do to improve your lifestyle, and consequently the lives of those around you, near and far? Interrogate your spirituality, it is your greatest defence against this virus.
It is time to touch base with one’s spirit and all that is Godly and goodly. It affords time to look inwards, rebuild broken hedges, and reach out in love to all people. Steps to take during this forced ‘holiday’ include:
· Reconcile with God
· Heightened prayers and meditation
· Forgive yourself; forgive all you feel have wronged you (they may be feeling you have wronged them actually)
· Do good, reach out in love: say hello, give money, show kindness
· Seek ways to volunteer your skills towards improving the situation.
Lastline: India, our twin country, has locked down its 1.3billion population. The USA has agreed a $2 trillion economic relief plan for companies, SMEs, and families. On the home front, Al-Jazeera showed Nigerians saying Coronavirus is not real, while Aso Rock and State Houses are turning up Positive cases. This isn’t looking good at all.
