Yemi Alade is out to conquer Africa with her music. Armed with a strong voice, she is perhaps the biggest Nigerian female act at the moment.
The songstress has clinched MAMA Awards “Female Artiste of the Year” back to back in 2015 and 2016. She also got a MOBO Awards nomination, BET Awards nomination and several others. Yemi owned 2016 no doubt.

Just before the release of her Seyi or Shay album, she got a record deal from Island records. In an industry where maintaining revelance is an herculean task, the Murda sensation is riding on her sonorous pitch, sexy appeal and work ethic.Seyi headlined some of the major shows of 2016.
- Tiwa Savage
Many thought Tiwa’s messy marriage scandal was going to hamper her music career, but it further strengthen her resolve to succeed.

6 .Aramide
Aramide pours her heart into her music. She sings like a suitor ready to win the heart of his bride. So at the just concluded AFRIMA Awards, Aramide further won my heart when she clinched the award for Best Female Artiste, West Africa. A lot of people are of the opinion that she doesn’t deserve it because she isn’t exactly a mainstream artiste like the Tiwa Savage’s or Yemi Alade’s.
Her Funmi Lowo song is also one of the biggest songs of 2016. At AFRIMA 2016, she won the award for the Best Female Artiste West Africa .All hail queen Aramide
