Nigerian singing couple Tunde and Wunmi Obe popularly known as T.W.O have been in the business of entertainment for close to two decades. In an industry where marriages crash every now and then, these duo have become an inspiration to other couple in entertainment.
In a recent interview with Hip TV, the award winning couple advise people not to put their relationship on social media, saying when you do that you put it under public scrutiny.
“I don’t think it’s the safe thing to do because when you do that you are putting it on the public scrutiny. You are basing your relationship on validation from people you don’t know and you have not seen before. Once you put it out there, people begin to criticize or commend. When you start having issues, you begin to cover up and start to live a lie. At the end of the day you say people should not meddle into your private affair, but you were the one that brought your private affair into their faces.”
The unrelenting couple also said people go into marriage with false expectations and this affects them when they go into marriage.
“People sometimes go into marriage with the wrong expectation. It’s a 50-50 thing; nobody is in a marriage to satisfy the other person, you are both there to satisfy each other. You should not go into a marriage looking for a woman who is going to be all things to you; she is not your father.”
