Controversial Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu, has advised Nigerian Afropop singer, Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk, to go and apologize to Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson, if he wants to smell Grammy or win an award from the recording academy.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that the Mavins Record star singer, Iyanya, has said that he is yet to get over his ex-girlfriend and actress, Yvonne Nelson, after their much-publicized break-up in 2012.
Iyanya had pointed out that his break up with the actress was to enable him to concentrate on his music career.
According to the Nigerian actor, if Iyanya wants to smell Grammy or win an award from the recording academy, he first needs to apologize to Yvonne Nelson because a single prayer from her will make it easy for him to win an award Grammy.
However, Yvonne Nelson, in an interview, asserted that Iyanya could not go scot-free for toying with her emotion.
In her words: “We dated for seven to eight months. We had something and I thought it was special like he was a wonderful guy but it was all lies. He had other girls and other things he was doing.
“Aside from the actress that was in the picture, there were a lot more. That is how bad it is. There was a girl from South Africa. I’m not going to mention names but she was part of Big Brother Africa last year.
“We were in a relationship and he lied throughout and he was able to do all those things because I wasn’t living in Nigeria. But aside from the distance, I feel if you are a genuine person and you are loyal, you would still not do that.
.
”But if you go through my Instagram page, you would see a couple of pictures of us together. I wasn’t shy about anything but he could not say he’s dating Yvonne Nelson because he had different people he was seeing. So, it was very hard for him to bring it out.”
The Ghanaian actress pointed out that she has learned a big lesson from her short-lived romance with Iyanya.
“There are some things that you don’t get to learn in school; people can advise you, but you won’t even listen. You just have to experience it to learn. I have no regrets that I went through it. It would have happened anyway. We are all human beings. We fall in love once in a while but if it doesn’t work out, that’s ok,” she said.
Describing Iyanya, she said the Mavins Record star singer is a ‘total package’.
Adding: “You can’t really explain when you love somebody. It’s everything. It was just something that I felt and I can’t explain. It was love. I really loved him and he knows that.”
