Michael K. Williams, an American actor who recently portrayed Montrose Freeman on HBO’s Lovecraft Country, and known for his role on HBO’s “The Wire” was found dead in his apartment yesterday September 6.
According to law enforcement reports, the actor died of suspected heroin overdose in his Brooklyn penthouse, as there was no indication of foul play, “no forced entry, and the apartment was in order.”
The 54-year-old actor who was nominated for three Emmy Awards, had at some point openly discussed his struggles with drugs
