Ujunwa Mandy Obi is a rising actress who is gradually finding her place in Nollywood. The Delta State University graduate in this chat with TheNewsGuru opens up on her love for acting, why she loves Mercy Johnson Okojie, her boobs being her selling point, amongst other issues.
Why did you decided to be an actress?
I have always wanted to be an actress, I have passion for it. I admire actresses like Mercy Johnson, Genevieve Nnaji and others. Its not easy being an actress but I derive satisfaction from acting
What is your most challenging movie role?
Playing the role of a mad woman has been my most challenging movie role
Are you satisfied with how far you have come in Nollywood?
Yes, there is still more room for growth, but I am satisfied
Does being busty get you more roles?
Being busty gets me roles, my boobs are my selling points
What is the craziest thing you have ever done for love?
The craziest thing I have ever done for love is cry. I cry a lot
Who is that one actor you would love to be paired with?
I would love with Mercy Johnson Okojie. She inspires me a lot. I would lot to meet her.I love her so much, she is my role model.I cannot wait to meet her, I admire her a lot.
What are your favourite qualities in a man?
I love tall dark guys, he also has to be rich because I love money a lot and yes he has to be good in bed.
Lots of celebrity marriages are crashing, does that scare you from venturing into it?
No I am not scared of getting married , I am only being careful. I have a son so my focus is on making money, marriage is not on my mind at the moment.
Is there a role you won’t dare interpreting?
If I play any role in a movie, I have to imagine myself going through it. If I cannot imagine myself playing a role, I won’t pick it up. I am a very careful person; I don’t just play any kind of role.
What is your most unforgettable experience in Nollywood?
A director once frustrated me, telling me he will make sure I don’t go far in the industry because I refused to have sex with him.
