CEO of IrokoTV, Jason Njoku, has said he is on oxygen support after testing positive for COVID-19.

Njoku shared the news on Wednesday via Twitter after sharing a picture of himself plugged onto a ventilator.

“Thanks all for your wishes. The kids all tested negative so they’re fine. Mrs. Mary Njoku other than minor fatigue is fine. Me? This thing beat me up at home for a week,” the father of three wrote.

“Since Monday I’ve been hospitalized with hardcore fever & need oxygen to support my breathing. It will pass.”

Last week, the entrepreneur had revealed that he and his wife had undertaken a test for COVID-19, which came out positive.

He had similarly shared a picture of a medical attendant inserting a swab down his throat, writing: “My enemies are hard at work in 2020. Mrs. Njoku and I tested positive for Covid19.

“I’m not feeling great but Mary is well. Literally no idea how I caught it.  But we shall see this pass too.”

Njoku launched IrokoTV in 2011. The platform web-based provides paid-for Nigerian films on demand.
