Says: “ Every trending song must not have a Ghanaian tune”
Ex- Big Brother Naija housemate, Gifty Powers has condemned Nigerian artistes for not deploying originality and instilling local dialects into their songs.
The entertainer said it is rare to see a Ghanaian artiste “speak other people’s dialects” and condemned Nigerian artistes who always rely on “Ghana tune” to make music.
She made this known in a Snapchat post on Tuesday, lauding Adekunle Gold, Olamide, Flavour and Phyno for sticking to their culture.
“It is a shame that some musicians in Nigeria are not proud of our dialects, (Igbo, Hausa, Yoruba, and Pidgin).
“Every song we hear now must have a Ghana tune…why?
“It is not supposed to be so na, haba.
“I must confess that I am very proud of Flavour, Olamide and Phyno. Twale to these musicians.
“I know some people will blast at me for writing this, but mhen, I don’t freaking care. Truth must be told.
“You will never see a Ghanaian learning to speak other people dialects, PS: who tell you say your music no go sell without Ghana tune in it?
“Be proud of where you from, one love Nigeria,” she said
Gifty Powers was the fourth housemate to be evicted from Big Brother Naija.
