Peju Johnson, Nigerian actress has commenced her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme. The talented role interpreter who is currently in Delta State for her NYSC programme has stated that it has always been her dream to go for NYSC.
The NYSC programme is mandatory for all graduates to qualify for gainful employment in Nigeria.
Speaking in a chat with TheNewsGuru, Johnson who graduated in August 2020 from ESTG (Ecole Supierieure Technologie Et De Gesion) University, Cotonou, Benin Republic said:” I was posted to Delta State. Delta is a very cool and calm place, i love it there “.
“I decided to go for NYSC because it’s always been my dream. I have always desired to have the experience and also to serve my mother land. Whenever I see corp members when I was young in their uniforms, I always desired to be like them.This is a dream come true for me”.
Asked if she experiences any form of favoritism on camp, she said:” Favoritism. Not really. I met with lovely and friendly corpers and officers. So I have had a good experience”.
Johnson also noted that people recognize her as an actress despite the fact that she wears her nose mask.
“Some of the officers and corp members recognize me despite the fact that I wear nose mask.Some are following me on Instagram. They came to me, saying they recognize me and watch my movies . They came to me, asking if I am an actor”.
