Revered music awards, The Grammies will be heading to New York in 2018 after more than a decade in Los Angeles, the organizers revealed. The 60th edition of the awards will take place on January 28 at Manhattan’s Madison Square Arena, where it was held in 2003.

This move to take the event staged at Staples Centre in downtown Los Angeles, to New York was championed by the city’s mayor, Bill de Blasio, the statement said. According to reports, the show is estimated to bring $200 million to the city’s economy.
