Beautiful Nollywood actress-cum-politician, Funke Akindele, has stated reasons she left Twitter few days after losing the gubernatorial election in Lagos.
The actress who was the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship candidate in Lagos State, Abdulazeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, deleted all tweets relating to politics and campaigns on her page.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress, APC, defeated the major opposition party, PDP, and Labour party to win re-election in the March 18, 2023, gubernatorial elections.
When asked why She disappeared from Twitter space after the election, the actress said that she ran away because the election was still fresh and that people were going to insult her.

Funke responded, “Dem too dey insult people on this app, so I stay off.”
In a similar trend, another user @Odun_is_my_name under the comments section asked if Akindele was afraid of the people.

Funke answered: “No I’m not afraid. I’m just careful.”
