“The music industry for me is like a big school. You never really graduate until you quit. The most beautiful thing for me is actually getting recognition for the music. Here in Nigeria, I still believe the music industry is male-dominated. The females have actually become more resilient, consistent and stronger. We are doing so well and I’m super happy to be part of this generation at this time when females are coming out in their numbers.”

Describing her level of achievement, Alade noted that there are levels to every big break.

“There are levels to every big break. My first big break was winning a talent show in 2009. On a global scale, my biggest break in terms of music will definitely by Johnny. At the moment, it has the most views by an African artiste. It’s an exciting experience. At the moment, it’s getting one to 1.5 million views every month. I feel very happy. It encourages me to keep working. I feel like the day I stop working is the day that the views will stop counting.”
