Ex- Mr Nigeria, actor and model, Bryan Okwara has recounted the hurdles he had to overcome before stardom.
The handsome entertainer in a recent chat with Nigerian rapper, Bouqui, on her Instagram live show said he didn’t get a job for over two years.
According to him: “Nothing good in life comes easy. When I started my career people kept asking who is this pretty boy working around? People suggested that I go into modelling. I jumped into the modelling scale, took some pictures and started modelling full time. I had an agent that helped with distributing my pictures all across Lagos and everywhere. I kept getting turned down. With all the hype, all the good pictures everything was on point, I kept getting turned down. This went on for 2 years; I didn’t get any modelling gig. Two years and some months down the line, I didn’t get one job. I totally left the modelling scene and decided to do something else with my time.
“At that time in my life, it felt like everything has failed. I was at home; I was at my lowest nothing was working. So a guy just called me and told me about a modelling job, something told me to go. I went there expecting the worse and at the end of the day, they called us back and they said I got the job”.
Ever since, Bryan has become one of the most influential Nigerian models, actor and social media influencer.
