Hear him:” They didn’t get their facts right. The video shared on the platform was the video of my new apartment that I was setting up. I wasn’t chased out of my old house. You know where I was staying before power supply wasn’t constant and my producer kept complaining about the generator noise when I was recording my album. So I decided to move to a better facility that has 24-hours light and other things I need”.

Speaking about the inspiration behind his new album, ‘Ibile Mugabe’, CDQ said:”As we all know Ibile means roots in Yoruba and everything that has to do with Mugabe connotes stubbornness. It takes a measure of stubbornness to be successful that is the inspiration behind the album title”.

Asked If he thinks hip-hop has taken a back seat in Nigeria, he said: ”Everything artiste has a right to their own opinion. As you all know CDQ is versatile. If you give me an RnB beat, I will still rap on it. I sang the chorus of a track on my album. Everyone has a right to their own opinion”.
