Abdulrasheed Akanbi, the oluwo of Iwoland, has expressed his love for Tiwa Savage, Nigerian R&B vocalist — few weeks after divorcing his wife.
TheNewsGuru recalls that the monarch deposed Chanel Chin, his Jamaican wife, as the queen of Iwo, in what turned out to be a divorce — citing “irreconcilable differences.”
Many were shocked on Tuesday after he shared a series of photos of himself alongside Tiwa at Naira Marley’s ‘Marlian Fest’ concert.
Kissing the 39-year-old singer’s hands in a show of loyalty, the monarch noted that it’s within his power to take Savage as a wife , but the question remains whether or not he should do so.
“His royal majesty Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi Kusenla 111 is the father. I gave Tiwa a royal kiss of honour,” the monarch wrote.

In 2018, Tiwa divorced Tunji Balogun, her ex-husband, after efforts to resolve the differences that bedevilled their marriage proved abortive.
