Kim Kardashian has filed for divorce from Kanye West ending her marriage that lasted for nearly seven years.
According to TMZ, the ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians’ star filed to split from her 43-year-old husband in a Los Angeles superior court on Friday.
The reality TV mogul also requested joint legal and physical custody of the couple’s four children: daughters North, 7, and Chicago, 3, and sons Saint, 5, and Psalm, 1.
It also comes after the rapper had disclosed that he has been trying to divorce Kim in a Twitter rant last year.
It is understood that the pair — dubbed ‘Kimye’ — have been living separately for a few months, with Kanye spending the majority of his time in Wyoming while Kim has been in Calabasas, California with the kids.
Reports in the US media had last month states that Kim was ready to end the marriage in 2020 but had put the topic off as Kanye was battling bipolar disorder at the time.
The duo first went public with their relationship in 2012 before they tied the knot in May 2014 at a spectacular ceremony at a Renaissance fortress in Florence, Italy.
