According to him:”It feels good that we can put out a good song after the whole trouble 2016 brought. One of the things I learnt is that I will never allow negative energy get the most of me. So I channeled the whole energy into Mad over you, so that people can realize that we are not here to joke.”
On how feels about people creating covers of the song, he said:” It’s great that people are doing covers of Mad over you. I have heard countless covers and I can remember how I felt when people did the cover of Adele’s Hello. I said to myself: ”People should allow the song to rest.” Now I know how it feels when people do the cover of my song”
