The father of the late singer, Mohbad, Joseph Aloba, has distanced himself from reports making the rounds that he is struggling for his son’s properties with Omowunmi his wife.
Aloba, during a recent interview with Arise TV, monitored by TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) disclosed that the claims of struggling for his son’s properties were untrue and fabricated.
He explained that, “I have not entangled myself with any of his properties, I have not made such moves.
“Again, I don’t have issues with his wife, I am only interested in knowing the paternity of his son because I want to know the truth.”,
The late singer’ father also vowed to go to court to unravel the circumstances that led to the death of the son.
According to Aloba, he is still not convinced and suspects foul play in the released autopsy report.
He added that the circumstances surrounding his son’s death are still unknown to him despite the recent autopsy result.
“I was not pleased with the result because there was a lot of delay. We were also informed that the test would be done in the US but it was done in Lagos.
“We verified with the laboratory in the United States and they confirmed that such a name was not sent to them for any test.
“We were told that the autopsy would take 8-10 weeks but we didn’t hear anything until I went on a radio station to seek human rights attention,” he said.
The late singer’s father also called for a private autopsy to be conducted on the late musician to ascertain the real cause of his death, revealing that they had sent an application to the court in February but have not been responded to as no sitting has taken place.
“I also want to go to court because I still think the circumstances surrounding his death are still unknown to me despite the autopsy report, I believe it is not a natural death and I demand a private autopsy.”
Mohbad died suddenly on September 12, 2023 and was buried the next day.
His body was however, exhumed by the police for autopy on September 21.
The autopsy carried out showed traces of Diphenhydramine, an antihistamine in the late singer’s blood system.
These drugs that were seen during the autopsy are used in the treatment of allergies, stomach problems, cold and anxiety among others which were not meant to lead to his death.
