Nigerian singer, Naira Marley has gifted Jude Chukwuka,a veteran actor N1 million for performing a karaoke version of ‘Mafo‘, a popular track off his album.
TheNewsGuru recalls that Marley had earlier asked fans to help him find the actor, after a video of Chukwuma performing the song went viral.
“I’ve got 1million Naira here for you sir. Marlians help me find him,” the ‘Mafo’ singer had said.
In the same vein, popular Nollywood director, Niyi Akinmolayan also reacted to the development.
“Lol on Castle and Castle set, Mr. Jude was always singing popular Naija music in a very entertaining way…he always knew the lyrics so well. I’m glad he’s winning this for just having fun,” Akinmolayan tweeted.
The ‘Mafo’ crooner also shared an update when he located Chukwuka: “I just found out Elderly Marlian guy. Igbo name but he speaks perfect Yoruba.wooooow. Sending his N1m now,” Marley had said.
On Tuesday, 7th of July 2020 , Chukwuka shared a video on his Instagram page wherein he thanked Marley and his fans for “the gift”.
“@nairamarley thank you for the gift and a special thanks to all the #marlians,” he captioned the video.
Chukwuka has featured in movies like ‘The First Lady’, ‘Castle and Castle’, ‘Troubled Waters’, ‘The Delivery Boy’ and others.
