Nigerian music star, guitarist and entrepreneur, GT Da Guitarman has said that Nigerians are not patient enough with the President Buhari led administration.
The ‘Dreamer’ crooner noted that Rome was not built in a day, adding that since Nigerians are expecting a magician, then President Buhari must have failed Nigerians.
He made this statement in a chat with TheNewsGuru.
“Buhari failing Nigerians is a function of what Nigerians were expecting. Buhari’s administration succeeding is a function of what they set out to do. When the mantle of power was given to the president; he said he wants to tackle the wastage in government resources and also corruption. If you look at Nigeria from 1960, one of the major problems we have has been corruption. Nigeria is a rich nation but the fact that our commonwealth hasn’t yielded much for us is sad. The fact that what we can produce is being exported to our nation is disappointing.
Yes Nigerians are expecting a magician, so Buhari must have failed Nigerians.
I do think the Buhari administration has succeeded. I joke with my friends and say imagine a man wakes up his wife and tells her:’Baby I want to eat Eba’, and the wife puts water on the fire, the water starts boiling but it has not boiled to the point where Eba can be made. Imagine the man becomes impatient stating that he wants the Eba like that .The wife will use water that hasn’t boiled properly. What you will have is the man drinking garri”.
The Ember Entertainment star said, he does not expect a man to solve Nigeria’s problem in ten years.
According to him: ”Nigerians are not patient enough with this administration. Rome was not built in a day.I do not expect a man to solve to Nigeria’s problem even in 10 years. A good place to start is to tackle the people who will not want this country to succeed and those are the people the Buhari administration is fighting. I have issues with the killings, the fact that the government hasn’t done anything about it. The Buhari administration can do better. Things are hard and I wish things can be better.
If we continue at the pace we are going , Nigeria sooner or later will become better. PDP was in power for 16 years, what did they achieve? People should give this administration a chill pill”.
