Nigerian singer, Adekunle Gold has advised parents to stop condoning wrongdoings from their male children on the basis that they are bound to be so.
The ‘Pick Up’ singer, in a tweet, said being a parent comes with responsibility, hence parents should ensure they raise their children properly.
“Boys will be boys’ is a lazy parenting strategy. If you have a child, you have a responsibility to raise them properly,” he wrote.
Gold, who was born Adekunle Kosoko, garnered a huge fanbase after he dropped ‘Sade’, a cover of One Direction’s ‘Story of My Life’ on December 19, 2014.
His popularity has also been followed by several awards including best African music artist in the International Achievement Recognition Awards (IARA).
