Veteran rapper and activist, Micheal Ugochukwu a.k.a Ruggedman says pop star, 2face doesn’t like to hear him crown him (2face) as his number one fan.
The ‘Baraje’ crooner opened up on his admiration for the singer, adding that he is the King of African music.
‘Ruggedy Baba’ as he is fondly called by his fans, made this known in a recent chat with Goldmyne TV.
According to him: “2face doesn’t like to hear me say I am his number one fan. I just told him now and he said he will break my head as usual. I am his number one fan, to me he is king of African music.Anybody that doesn’t like it, na you sabi.I am his number one fan.He is my friend, he is my brother.I call him the blessed one, he is 2 baba”.
After the disbandment of Plantashun Boyz in 2004, all band members sought separate musical careers. 2Baba released his debut solo album Face 2 Face (2004), which established him as a viable solo artist.
Following the release of his debut album, he released his second album Grass 2 Grace in 2006, which contained hits “One Love”, “True Love, “4 Instance”. He is the founder of Hypertek Entertainment.
In 2006, his song “African Queen” was used in the soundtrack for the film Phat Girlz, which was released internationally.
