The founder of Talent Thrones Show (TTS), Dr. Ifeanyi Onyemere has disclosed that TTS was introduced to be the voice of the unknown creative and platform to nurture them into positive influencers in the society just as he insisted that their target is to discover, mentor, empower and promote at least 25 young creatives annually.
Onyemere who spoke with newsmen in Lagos during a press briefing noted that TTS has a mission to provide a credible platform that discovers, mentors and empowers these new talents and promotes their arts in singing, dancing, comedy, monologue, poetry and other genres.
According to him him :”There are so many unknown but talented young creatives in the remote villages of Africa. They will never get a chance to hone their skills and impact society with their gifts, except, someone reaches out to them”.
“TTS believes that Nigeria and Africa need to focus attention on discovering and developing the untapped talents of her young population and empowering them to contribute to national economic development. Pursuing this cause offers an antidote for violence, unemployment, radicalisation, irregular migration and drug abuse among the youths”.
He said TTS is the first of its kind in Nigeria and Africa adding that :”There exists a replete of talent shows in Africa.Sadly, among other distinctions, those platforms rarely offer post -event programmes for winners and the rest of the contestants”.
Onyemere affirmed that TTS integrates the selection of winners and a post -season mentoring programme to achieve the objective of transforming the contestants into positive influencers in the society through a credible value -based platform.
His words :”TTS aims to counterpoise existing shows that espouse banality, disrespect human dignity and debase our cultural values. TTS, unlike other platforms, encourages decency, promotes professionalism and grooms participants for artistic excellence”.
The TTS founder stated that the audition, which will be virtual, will begin on October 24, adding that, the show is open to adults of 18 years and above who possess a government issued identification and a grand prize of N1 million naira is up for grab by the winner.
He said the judges and coaches for the contest include Segun Lawal, Dr. Shuaibu Huseeni, Kenny Saint Brown, MC Abbey, Sir, Emeka Nwokedi, Chigozie Wisdom, Koffi Da Guru, Owengee, Ice Nweke, Henry Akubuiro and Lydian John.
