It is no longer news that Uyo based Akwa United Football Club have won the 2020/2021 Season of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
However, what is news and that will continue to ring bells is the fact that Akwa United are winning the title for the first time in its 25 years of existence.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the Uyo based FC nicknamed The Promise Keepers was founded in 1996 by the Akwa Ibom State Government with Paul Bassey as the current club chairman.
Following their first NPFL title victory, Akwa United took to the streets to show off their title won Sunday.
The players of the FC were joined by fans and people of Akwa Ibom State to celebrate the first NPFL title.
