Neymar could be set for a spell on the sidelines after limping out of the Selecao’s friendly match with Nigeria that saw the Super Eagles leading by one goal at half time.
TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Joe Aribo, donning the number 10 jersey for the Super Eagles opened the scoring, firing Nigeria past Brazil by one goal at half time.
Aribo’s first touch looked to have taken the ball away from him but the Brazilian defenders didn’t react quick enough.
He reached the ball before Silva and brilliantly poked it past Ederson and into the bottom left corner to put Nigeria ahead of Brazil.
Simon did well to get on the end of Osimhen’s hopeful cross into the box and then spot Aribo’s run from midfield into the box to set up the goal.

Gernot Rohr will be happy with how his side have played and will be hoping they can continue to succeed with this tactic in the second half.
They’ve looked dangerous every time they’ve gone on the counter-attack and Brazil haven’t been able to cope with their pace at times.
As for Brazil, Tite did lose Neymar early on to injury, but his side haven’t lacked in creativity.
The 27-year-old lasted just 12 minutes of the friendly clash with the Super Eagles and was seen icing his thigh after being replaced
Meanwhile, Super Eagles’ stand–in captain William Troos-Ekong says while they respect five–times world champions Brazil they however have no fear as both teams step out in a friendly in Singapore.
Ekong made the remarks on Saturday at a pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s clash with Brazil at the Singapore National Stadium in Kallang.
He said his team was inspired by the 1-1 draw fellow West African neighbors Senegal played with the South Americans.
“Brazil are a top team, probably the best team in the world, but Senegal gave them a good fight on Thursday.
“We can pick some inspiration from that performance when we play the Brazilians on Sunday.
“It will be tough because they will want to win at least one game against an African team on this tour, but we will also want to take something off them,” he said.
Aribo’s second goal for Nigeria is the difference between the two sides at the break as they lead Brazil 1-0.
Brazil have had a couple of good chances with Firmino and Jesus both having efforts saved by Uzoho while Coutinho came close with a free-kick.
Nigeria played on the counter-attack for the majority of the half and took the lead when a quick break led to Aribo reacting quickest in the box and poking the ball past Ederson and into the bottom corner.
