Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi undergoes surgery

Former Super Eagles captain, John Mikel Obi, has disclosed that he went under the knife at Princess Grace Hospital in the United Kingdom.

The ex-Chelsea midfielder made this known in photos shared on Instagram Story on Saturday.

Sharing a picture he took before the operation, he wrote, “Pre-op, let’s go.”

Obi shared another photo of him lying on the bed at the hospital post-surgery with the caption, “All good, #PostOp.”

The 37-year-old did not reveal the reason for his surgery.

Obi also shared a video of his daughters wishing him luck on his surgery.

In April 2017, the retired footballer was reported to have undergone a surgery in the UK.
