Appealing to the general public, she wrote, “Pls stop shaming me as a begger. Pls stop calling me a mad woman. Pls stop calling me a drug addict. Pls stop saying my father disowned me. Pls stop saying my children disowned me. None of these things are true.

“I was also constantly bullied as a female journalist doing my work. Threatened by celebrities I trusted who posted my address and phone numbers online if my stories and investigations didn’t fit their narrative. You do not know my life stories.

“I have dealt with #PTSD and suicidal thoughts for years on different levels.”

Olunloyo said she left her family because they are toxic.

“For me PTSD is depression, anxiety and panic attacks rolled into one. My family was toxic, I left them, my country was toxic, I left it, my job as a digital journalist was toxic I left it after 30 yrs. #PTSD survivors have to change their environment. You cannot tell my story. Stop pushing people to the brink. You do not know what they are going through,” she said.
