The detectives of the Ondo State Police Command have uncovered the killers of Olakunbi Adene, a famous caterer and Chief Executive of Country Kitchen in Akure, Ondo State.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Adene was murdered by some unknown assailants at her residence in Oda Road, Akure metropolis, five days after celebrating her 54th birthday.
According to a family source, the popular caterer was discovered in a pool of blood by her neighbours, who later informed the caretaker of the house.
The source said, “The mother of two was hale and hearty with no sign of illness few days before she was sent to her early grave by her killers. Her lifeless body was found in a pool of blood on her bed with no trace of her killers.
“It was just five days ago that she marked her 54th birthday, she entertained many visitors in her residence and served assorted wine and drinks to her guests.”
According to Daily Post, the detectives during investigations disclosed that the personal assistant and the driver of the deceased allegedly conspired to kill her with the motive of obtaining the money she received during her birthday celebration.
The reports added that the personal assistant who was arrested by security operatives confessed to the crime, providing the weapon used to hack her to death.
He’s also said to be assisting the police with valuable information about the circumstances surrounding the killing.
However, the late caterer’s driver is currently on the run.
