The Senior pastor of Daystar Christian Centre Sam Adeyemi has taken to his social media to express his sorrow and sadness over the death of his father, Elder Stephen Adeyemi.
The clergyman said in an obituary he signed on his family’s behalf on Wednesday that his father died on July 19, 2024 in Ilorin, Kwara State capital.
The obituary read, “With gratitude to God for a life well spent in the service of God and humanity, we announce the passing of our husband and father, Elder Stephen Babatunde Adeyemi, who went home to be with the Lord on Friday, 19th July, 2024 at Ilorin, Nigeria.
“He is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers and sisters.”
Adeyemi noted that burial arrangements will be announced shortly.
He also quoted Philippians 1:21 NIV “For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” as caption for his post and thanked the public for their prayers.
