A Nigerian woman who ripped her husband’s international passport shortly after they arrived from Itay has given reasons for her dramatic action which took place at Lagos Airport on Saturday.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the incident, which was considered by many as vandalism of government property, sparked public outrage on social media.
In a video that captured the moment, the woman, visibly upset, responded angrily when questioned about her actions, saying, “Is it your passport?”
She then chastised her visibly dumbfounded husband, holding their children by the hand as she walked away, saying, “If you want to sleep there, sleep there. This is Nigeria, this is where you will be.”
Speaking in a recent video, the woman noted that the man has been giving her a lot of trouble in Italy where they are based and this has affected her health. She further stated that she tore his passport so that he will not leave Nigeria.
She said, “I tore my husband’s passport because I dont want my husband to go back abroad, I have been going through so much Pain in this my Marriage for years, You all don’t know what I am Passing Through, So Many Women are also Going through pains in their own marriage and cannot speak out.”
