Ohio Facebook murder suspect, Steve Stephens kills himself after long chase

Steve Stephens, the Cleveland murder suspect accused of posting video of the killing on Facebook, was found dead Tuesday in Erie County, Pennsylvania, state police said on Twitter.

According to a CNN report, the nationwide manhunt for Steve Stephens led to a spate of dead ends, forcing authorities to scour abandoned buildings and pleading public’s help in turning in the murder suspect.

The Cleveland Police even placed a reward of up to $50,000 from ATF, FBI, Crimestoppers for information leading to the arrest of Steve Stephens.

“After a brief pursuit, Stephens shot and killed himself,” Pennsylvania State Police said.

Stephens, 37, was wanted for the death of Robert Godwin — a self-taught mechanic and grandfather of 14 who was shot while walking home from an Easter meal in Cleveland. Video(http://thenewsguru.com/murdered-live-police-urges-ohio-facebook-killer-surrender/) of the killing was posted on Facebook.
