A helicopter carrying Herbert Wigwe, the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings, and five other people have crashed in California, United States.

According to reports, the helicopter was headed to Las Vegas when it crashed near a border city between Nevada and California on Friday night.
Wigwe’s wife, son, and Abimbola Ogunbanjo, the group chairman of Nigerian Exchange Group Plc (NGX Group), are reported to have been on board when the helicopter crashed.

The US government confirmed all on board dead.
He was recognised as the African Banker of the Year at the 2021 edition of the African Banker Awards.
