BREAKING: Kano State Governor, Yusuf orders closure of MDAs’ accounts [SEE REASONS]

Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has directed the Accountant General of the State to close all bank accounts belonging to all ministries, departments and agencies of the State with immediate effect.

Governor Yusuf gave the directive at an ongoing meeting with the Chairman of the Kano State Internal Revenue Service and heads of MDAs at the Government House.

He said the decision was made to ensure that all government revenues are properly accounted for and utilised for the development of the state.
