The legendary Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Tina Turner is dead.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Tina Turner died on Wednesday as confirmed on her official Facebook page.
Turner, who won eight Grammys during her long career, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
She died peacefully at the age of 83 at her home in Switzerland after a long illness.
A statement announcing her demise reads: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner.
“With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow.
“Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family.
“Tina, we will miss you dearly”.
The star was one of the best-loved female rock singers, known for her on-stage presence and a string of hits including The Best, Proud Mary, Private Dancer and What’s Love Got to Do With It.
Turner leaves behind a husband, two sons and millions of fans.
