BREAKING: Okey Ahiwe emerges in Abia as PDP Governorship candidate

Chief Okey Ahiwe, the immediate past Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, has won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship primary election in the state.

Due to the death of Prof. Uche Ikonne, the party’s flag bearer in the 2023 general election, the election became mandatory.

Governor Godwin Obaseki, Chairman of the PDP Primary Election Committee, announced the following results:

Chief Okey Ahiwe 469

Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu 12 Votes

Don Lulu 12 Votes
