BREAKING: Police reveal prime suspect in Mohbad’s death

The Lagos State Police Command has revealed the prime suspect in the death of Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Idowu Owohunwa made the revelation on Friday.

According to the Lagos Commissioner of Police, the auxiliary nurse, Ms Feyisayo Ogedengbe, who injected Mohbad, is the prime suspect in the singer’s death.

Owohunwa gave the update with respect to the ongoing investigation into Mohbad’s demise in a press briefing on Friday afternoon.

He disclosed that the police had identified a total of 26 witnesses. He also disclosed that five suspects have been interrogated.

The police named Naira Marley, Sam Larry, Primeboy, and one other as suspects as well.

“So far 26 witnesses have been identified in the ongoing investigation of Mohbad. Five suspects have so far been interrogated in relation to the ongoing investigation,” Owohunwa said.

TNG reports that Mohbad died on September 12 at the age of 27. His death has since become a subject of controversy.

Owohunwa disclosed that Ogedengbe administered “multiple and highly potent” injections to Mohbad. The CP revealed the injections, consisting of Tetanus Toxoid, paracetamol, and Cetrazone, an antibiotic, were administered at the deceased residence on September 12.

The medications were said to have triggered an immediate reaction, including vomiting, goosebumps and convulsion

According to Owohunwa, Ogedengbe was unqualified to perform the role of a home nurse and did so in a non-clinical environment and professionally negligent manner.

The CP disclosed that PrimeBoy had a fight with Mohbad in Ikorodu, which resulted in the injury he sustained and the treatment of the injuries resulted in his death.

Another suspect is Ibrahim Oluwatosin Owodunni aka Primeboy, who is described as a childhood friend of Mohbad.

The CP disclosed that Primeboy attended a show with Mohbad on September 10, which culminated in a physical fight between the two that led to the late singer’s injury.

“The management of the injury subsequently resulted in his death,” Owohunwa said.

Sam Larry, whose real name is Samson Balogun, was arrested and remains in detention for being complicit in the Afrobeats star’s death and in relation to viral videos by the deceased about bullying and assault.

Likewise, Abdul-Aziz Fashola, aka Naira Marley, was also arrested and is still in detention over similar allegations.

The police commissioner added that the exhumation of Mohbad’s remains, autopsy, and toxicology test were undertaken on September 21, adding that results of the autopsy and toxicology were being awaited.
