The government of President Muhammadu Buhari has announced the launch of the new #AskVillaNG series, a social media platform for Nigerians to send in questions and interact with the President’s spokespersons on issues affecting them and the nation.
This is in efforts of the government to get feedback on governance with the view to making the President Buhari government accessible.
Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka of the Adoration Ministry in his New Year message lambasted President Buhari and his aides, stressing that the administration is not accessible.
“Though the President is trying on corruption and security, Nigerians are hungry; they want to see more changes. There is the need to assist businessmen and women in their businesses.
“We cannot reach him for advice because of the kind of people around him,” Mbaka said.
The Presidency launched the social media #AskVillaNG trend platform with the view to exploiting the potentials of the Internet to reach as many Nigerians as possible to get feedback on governance.
“We’re launching an #AskVillaNG series. Send in your questions for the President’s spokespersons, to be answered in weekly live-feed sessions. Remember to use the hashtag: #AskVillaNG,” the Presidency announced using its @AsoRock(https://twitter.com/AsoRock) Twitter handle.
