It will be recalled that Mujahid Asari-Dokubo, a former Niger Delta freedom fighter warned those behind the planned protest against hardship to forget about extending it to the Niger Delta.

While, Nyesom Wike, a former governor of Rivers State cum FCT minister warned protesters to stay away from Rivers State and Abuja, respectively.

Reacting to the threat, the entertainer cum activist noted that the provision of food and economic prosperity from good governance is the only thing that can stop citizens from engaging in the #EndBadGovernanceinNigeria protest.

Obianuju further admonished the citizens on the first day of the hunger protest – August 1 – to look out for one another.

She urged the protesters to brace up and see the hunger protest as an opportunity to achieve good governance in the country.

Taking to her X handle, she wrote, “The only thing that can stop hunger is food! Not guns, not teargas, not threats from fat globs like Asari Dokubo and chicken feed Wike! I wonder why they are hiding now…. Come outside let them eat you raw!”

“Intimidation is standard tactics for the Nigerian government. That is all they have… we the people have will and desire for a working Nigeria for all and not a select few! The more they threaten with violence, the more that desire and will for change persists.

“Please, do not let this be ENDSARS 2.0, do not fail yourselves and render meaningless the sacrifices we make. Never in history have there been change without sacrifice. The time I believe is now,” Dj Switch wrote.
