Deposed City of David pastor, Iluyomade makes first appearance at RCCG

Suspended former senior pastor of City of David Parish, Idowu Iluyomade, whose wife, Siju, held a glamorous 60th birthday celebration a week after the death of Herbert Wigwe, a strong member of the Church who died in a helicopter crash, recently attended Redemption City.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports that Illuyomade, who tendered his resignation from the church after the church board suspended him, was present at the Redemption City for Holy Communion Service with Pastor Kayode Pitan who took over from him at City of David.

According to Church Times, Iluyomade has kept a very quiet life and rarely in public space since the controversy of his wife’s  60th birthday at Eko Hotel shortly after the death of a prominent member Herbert Wigwe, his wife, Chizoba and son Chizi in California, United States on February 9.

Contrary to numerous reports that he was no longer at peace with the RCCG following the church’s actions against him, Iluyomade is reported to have danced excitedly during the praise worship session at RCCG during the communion service.
