Ekiti Assembly appoints Acting Clerk

The Ekiti State House of Assembly has announced the appointment of Mr Opeyemi Ajibola as the Acting Clerk of the Assembly.

Ajibola will replace the retiring Clerk of the Assembly, Mr Tola Esan.

This is contained in a statement by Mr Babatunde Oke, Chairman, House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti.

Ajibola, who is from Otun- Ekiti in Moba Local Government, was the Deputy Clerk, Legal, before his new appointment.

The acting clerk joined the legislative service as a Senior Legislative counsel in the Legislative Drafting and Legal Services Department of the Assembly in October 2011.

According to the statement, the appointment will take effect on June 1, 2024.
