EPL: Liverpool, Brighton, Brentford record massive winnings on match day two

Liverpool beat Bournemouth at home and in front of their own fans to earn their first three points at home in the Premier League.

A nightmare start for Liverpool saw them concede just minutes into the game, with Antoine Semenyo taking advantage of some slack play from the hosts’ defense to put Bournemouth ahead.

Nerves inside Anfield weren’t exactly eased as an out-of-sorts Liverpool continued to make mistakes in its own half, but Luis Díaz’s acrobatic  strike helped to settle things down just before the half-hour mark as the Reds finally began to find their way into the game.

And they found themselves ahead shortly after, with Mohamed Salah turning home on the rebound from the penalty spot after Dominik Szoboszlai was tripped.

Alexis Mac Allister’s red card threatened to derail things in the second half, but Liverpool came up with the perfect response, almost immediately making it 3-1 through Diogo Jota to secure a first win of the new season.

Meanwhile somewhere at the Molineux, Wolves recorded its second straight losses after losing to Brighton and Hove Albion at home.

Mitoma opened the flood gate of goals when he dribbled past four Wolves defender before slotting the ball past the goal keeper for the Visitors opening game.

Estupinan doubled the visitors’ lead right from the restart as Sa pushed aside Danny Welbeck’s shot from the edge of the box, but straight to Mitoma, who set up Estupinan for a simple finish.

A quickfire Solly March double at the start of the second half helped fire Brighton to a resounding 4-1 win at Wolves as Roberto De Zerbi’s side began life without Moises Caicedo in style.

Eventually Wolves got a consolation goal when Hwang’s looping beat Brighton’s  goalie.

At Craven Cottage, Yoane Wissa’s opener and Bryan Mbeumo’s double gave Brentford a comfortable 3-0  win over west London rivals Fulham, who were reduced to 10 men when captain  Tim Ream got the marching order after infringing on a Brentford attacker in the 64th minute of the encounter.
