EPL: Liverpool signing Mac Allister for knockdown fee

Liverpool have been able to secure an impressive deal to sign Brighton’s Alexis Mac Allister.

Per the Liverpool Echo and other sources, Mac Allister has Brighton’s permission to complete a medical ahead of the transfer.

The Reds will pay a fee that starts at £45 million, which is a lot less than fans were expecting.

The source adds that Mac Allister did have a transfer release clause in his contract.

Such an agreement that he had with Brighton has helped the Reds secure him without getting involved in a bidding war.

Any money they can save on this transfer will allow them to make more moves later on in the window.
