English Premier League new comer, Luton Town football club have announced the signing of Nigerian-born forward, Chiedozie Ogbene.

Recall that Luton are already enjoying the services of three Nigerians and Ogbene will increase the Number of Nigerians to four.

Ogbene joined Luton Town following the expiration of his contract with Sky Bet Championship club, Rotherham United.

The 26-year-old scored nine goals and provided four assists in all competitions for the Millers last season.

The player expressed delight after signing for the Hatters.

“I’m delighted to be here as a Premier League player, because of my journey and where I’ve been in the last five-and-a-half years, from Limerick FC and the League of Ireland to Luton Town FC in the Premier League, “he told the club’s official website.

“My former coach said it would be one in 200,000 – I guess I’m that one.

Ogbene was born in Lagos. He moved with his family to Ireland in 2005.
