Two Nigerian players Frank Onyedinma , Elijah Adebayo and Gabriel Osho have gained promotion to the Premier League with Luton Town Football Club.
Luton beat Coventry on penalties to win promotion to Premier League for the first time ever since its inception in 1992.
Luton will play in the top flight of English football for the first time since 1992, when relegation saw them narrowly miss out on the inaugural season of the Premier League.
They were relegated from the old first division that year, painfully missing out on being part of the Premier League’s inaugural season, which began just months later.
Luton are expected to receive more than £170m in future earnings for gaining promotion to the Premier League, the richest league in world football.
Their home ground, Kenilworth Road, will instantly become the smallest stadium in the division, with its capacity of around 10,000.
After five perfect spot kicks from both sides, the shoot-out entered sudden death territory and Luton ended up 6-5 winners after Fankaty Dabo sent the ball over the crossbar.
Coventry were trying to return to the Premier League for the first time since being relegated in 2001 following a 34-year stint in the first division.
Championship winner Burnley will be joined back in the Premier League by Sheffield United after the Blades finished in second place, and the third team to move up is Luton Town after they won the EFL Championship playoff promotion final by defeating Conventy 5-4 on penalties at Wembley.
