Europa League: Liverpool, West Ham, Marseille, seven others secure qualification to next round

Two English Premier League sides, Liverpool and West Ham have qualified for the this season’s  Europa league round of 32.

French Side, Marseille and  Rennes also secured qualification into the next round of the competition.

This follows the conclusion of this week’s Europa League match-day 5 fixtures on Thursday.

Liverpool defeated LASK 4-0 to advance to the next stage, while West Ham United won Backa Topola 1-0 in an away clash.

Jurgen Klopp’side qualified for the round of 16 as winners of Group E with another dominant home display against LASK.

Meanwhile, Villarreal and Sporting CP are confirmed as group runners-up, into knockout round play-offs.

Feyenoord and Young Boys are among many others that will drop from the UEFA Champions League to the second tier competiton in Europe.

The Europa League group fixtures will continue next week Thursday to determine the remaining teams that will qualify for the round of 16.
