Mr Bashir Ahmad has fled the venue where the All Progressives Congress (APC) is conducting the primary election for Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu Federal Constituency in Kano State.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Ahmad, who was Personal Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital and New Media, cited security reasons.
“As an aspirant, I left the venue of primary election for Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu Federal Constituency, because of the security of our majority delegates, if want to compete with the best, thugs shouldn’t be part of any election,” the former presidential aide stated.
Ahmad recently resigned his appointment under President Buhari to contest the APC ticket for the Gaya, Ajingi and Albasu Federal Constituency.
He is contesting the APC ticket against Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya, the member currently representing the Federal Constituency.
