The woman, Arianna Uzo Egwu, 30, was arraigned yesterday in Manhattan Criminal Court on charges of promoting prostitution and laundering money. Ms. Egwu, who has been a guest on ”The Howard Stern Show,” was jailed without bail.

The Manhattan district attorney, Robert M. Morgenthau, said that Ms. Egwu’s prostitution business operated out of eight East Side apartments and grossed more than $2 million a year. He said she also had a Web site that featured photographs of women, some nude.

The women were ranked. The ”mega” class offered supposedly recognizable models and actresses with a fee of $25,000 for a single date, Mr. Morgenthau said.

The two other women arrested were Snejana Bedunkevich, 25, and Elena Wagnerova, 26, both of Manhattan, Mr. Morgenthau said. They were charged with misdemeanor prostitution and released.
