How Arusuayine emerged Jeddo Ward 19 PDP councillorship candidate

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Jeddo chapter in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State, has chosen Mr Palson Arusuayine as the councillorship candidate for Jeddo Ward 19 in the forthcoming Local Government Council election in the State.

Arusuayine, a graduate of Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku and Delta State Polytechnic, Otefe-Oghara, was chosen as a consensus candidate by a college of leaders appointed for the exercise by the leadership of the party in the State.

TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports the PDP councillorship candidate studied Human Resource Management at Ogwashi-Uku, where he obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND), and Mass Communication at Otefe-Oghara, where he obtained a National Diploma.

In arriving at the candidate, the leaders took into account that Arusuayine had attempted the councillorship position previously as an aspirant but lost to Mr Samuel Omasheye, the immediate past councillor of the Ward.

Aspirants who contested against Arusuayine were told to support the party’s candidate, adding that the party would continue to recognise their contributions to the political development of the community and the party.

In his acceptance speech, Arusuayine thanked the leaders for choosing him and pledged to work with aspirants who lost the primaries to ensure victory for the party in the forthcoming election.

In his manifesto, the PDP councillorship candidate had vowed to contribute to the security of lives and properties in the Ward through encouragement and support to the community, the police and the vigilantes.

On human capital development, Arusuayine disclosed that the choice of empowerment is the easiest way to better the society, while stressing that there is no way there will be development without peace.

He vowed to work with all necessary security apparatus and processes to sustain peace for development within the Ward, while vowing to ensure equity in all scheme of things with no discrimination, adding that everybody would be carried along.

Arusuayine also vowed to work in line with the local government and the state government through the MORE Agenda of the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori.

“I, therefore, call on our dear people of Okpe Ward 19 to give their total support to me in the forthcoming 2024 local government election in Delta,” Arusuayine said.
