Fast-rising singer and Afrobeat star, Ahmed Ololade, known professionally as Asake, has suffered a wardrobe malfunction as his trousers tears while performing live in London.

The singer, who recently revealed that he is a fuji artist, witnessed an embarrassing moment during a live performance in the United Kingdom.

While singing one of his latest hit songs “Loaded” the energetic singer tore his trouser unintentionally when he did kick mid-air.

Asake, who noticed the wardrobe malfunction, immediately exited the podium in a reverse manner while covering the torn trouser.

“He made it worse by doing that funny-ass moonwalk ???. If he had just kept going it wouldn’t have been as funny,” a social media user wrote in reaction.

Another added, “Why e no wear normal bugi wey him dey always wear na?…I no go hear word for my compound today???.”

He is signed to YBNL Nation and Empire Distribution. His stage name pays homage to his mother, whose first name is Asake.

Asake studied Theatre & Performing Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state. Although he had been releasing music since 2018, his musical career progressed further in 2020 when he released the single “Mr. Money”.

A remix with Zlatan and Peruzzi followed. He broke out in the industry when he dropped the 2020 single, Lady. He rose to stardom after being signed to YBNL Records by the label boss, Olamide(Badoo) on February 2022.

In February 2022, Asake released his debut extended play Ololade, which featured Asake’s breakthrough song “Omo Ope” featuring Olamide. Another hit single that was released off the extended play is “Sungba” which was remixed a month later with a verse from Nigerian artist Burna Boy. Asake also sign a distribution deal with Empire in July 2022.

Asake released his debut studio album Mr. Money With the Vibe on September 8, 2022, seven months after the release of his debut EP. The album was supported by the hit singles, “Terminator”, “Peace Be Unto You” and the “Sungba” remix with Burna Boy”.

The album received high praise from fans in his home country of Nigeria, as well as across the world and went on to break several records globally.

He also went ahead to organize a global tour for his debut album, going ahead to sell out the O2 Academy Brixton in London. On October 21, 2022, the cryptocurrency platform, Roqqu, unveiled Asake as their latest brand ambassador.

Following the drop of his debut album, Asake released a single on November 7, 2022, titled, “Loaded” featuring Tiwa Savage, another popular Nigerian singer. The single achieved number three on Nigerian Apple Music Charts. As well as number one on Nigerian Youtube Charts.
