The remains of Popular Nigerian Islamic singer, Rukayat Gawat-Oyefeso have been buried in Ogun State.
TheNewsGuru.com(TNG) reports that the family and friends of the late singer gathered at her husband’s residence in Ijebu Ayepe, Ogun, to pay their last respects as she was laid to rest.
Recall that the singer’s unexpected death sparked reactions from his fans and colleagues in the industry.
Abdulsalam Azeez fondly called Saoty Arewa, the Islamic singer, was among the notable person at the funeral prayer.
After the ceremony, Gawat’s body was transported to the cemetery at Ijebu Ayepe, Ogun where she was buried.
Mistura Aderounmu, colleague of the deceased in an Instagram post, expressed grief while seeking prayers for Gawat.
“You did this one. You came, you saw and you conquered. May Allah forgive your shortcomings and grant you paradise. All I want from you is a prayer for my baby,” she wrote.
